"Hailing from her RV in Brooklyn, New York, Kate Devin packs a punch as a vocalist, songwriter, and pianist. With vocal stylings and songs rooted in her love of classic soul and Motown (and adding her own unparalleled twist of pop and rock), Kate delivers nothing less than groovy melodies and powerful, passionate performances as evidenced in her live shows and on her recordings.
Since her EP release of Drown in 2010, Kate has performed at venues in NYC and its surrounding boroughs as well as toured halfway across the country. To date she has been seen at The Knitting Factory, Rockwood Music Hall, The Living Room, Spike Hill, The National Underground, and The Bitter End to name just a few. In March 2011 she was named one of www.indie-music.com’s top 25 artists.
Finally on summer break from her studies at NYC’s prestigious music conservatory The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, Kate will be taking Raven, her RV, across country out to California in June to check out L.A.’s music scene. Upon her return to New York in the fall, she looks forward to releasing her first full-length album. Tour dates TBA."
